Time to Re-Center and Re-Fresh Y'all!

It still feels a little odd to not have a mask on at WonderLab. We sometimes feel like something is missing when we walk into public spaces. Please don’t think that we are not loving seeing and showing our smiles though! Having the freedom once again to see the bottom half of faces is wonderful, and putting the worry over the spread of COVID out of the forefront of our daily lives is even better.  Welcome to the POST pandemic WonderLab! We’re so happy to have you here.

We have some big plans for this year! We have labeled 2023 as the year of Re-Center and Re-Fresh. WonderLab has grown a lot in 7 years, and we’ve overcome a lot of obstacles too. Like many humans who lived through the pandemic, we were feeling like we could use a little refreshing this year. Some of the ways we are accomplishing this include: mindfulness activities like journaling, yoga and daily mindfulness reminders, injecting more FUN into our professional lives like book clubs, meet ups outside of work, and playing together, and re-centering ourselves on our values. (For those of you who haven’t seen our values posted, they are 1. Playfully Passionate 2. Staying Curious 3. People – Centered.) When we make decisions about where to grow and where to place our energy, we look to our values as guides.

When you visit our clinic, our goal is for you to notice the WonderLab difference in how we live out our values. The playfulness of our décor, the kindness of your reception, the friendliness of staff, and the passion of your therapist are some of the ways we aim to live our values. We wanted to share some mindfulness with parents and caregivers this year too so we hosted our second “Ditch Day” where these important adults were offered their own space during sessions to revive. They enjoyed beverages, snacks, music and even a foot massage. Re-Freshing!

Mostly we just wanted to say “Thank you” for navigating this journey with us, through COVID, and now out the other side. The world has changed, but we strive to make it a kinder, more joyful, people-centered world, with your help.
